Delivery of rare wine from all over Europe
A customer from the Czech Republic asked us to develop a specialized wine marketplace. In addition to the usual marketplace functions, we added several interesting features:
- wine search on a map;
- own wine rating;
- display of some wine properties in the form of pictograms;
- statistics on orders and products;
- different dashboards for different user roles;
- warehouse inventory management
Product card design
We paid a lot of attention to the product card. Usually on a marketplace all parameters are located in one general list. This is due to the fact that each type of product has its own unique set of fields, so the priority is given to universality. In our case, we approached the process more creatively and divided the parameters into 7 different zones. For example, the rating and capacity of the bottle is listed at the top, and geographical parameters at the bottom of the product.
Features of the wine marketplace
For wine, it is also important to consider that the product card should be vertical with a ratio of 1:4 or 1:3, repeating the proportions of the bottle.
When entering the site, we ask the age of the visitor and only allow adults to enter the list of products. We again specify the age when ordering the product directly.
Detailed product list
Wine is a complex commodity. Not only a beautiful picture is important for it, but also unique properties. That’s why we chose a detailed description as the main view for the list of products. However, we also left the compact view with regular cards.
Icons for parameters
We indicate some parameters not with words but with icons, for example: Eco-wine, investment wine, matured in barrel, etc. This allows you to quickly navigate through the product catalog without reading the description. These icons will also be used for filtering.
Results of the development
We have developed a beautiful and user-friendly marketplace of exclusive wine with delivery all over Europe.
